Being miles from nowhere and not having the right Load Out, wrong gear or duplicate equipment made me think of what could be better. A pack list was fine. But what if others out there could share what they had for the best experience? I knew there was a better way. Being effective with your money, resources, energy and time are crucial to enjoying the journey.
Who loves the outdoors and isn't a "gear junkie"? We are looking for those who truly like to get into the detail of the measurables of equipment they have and getting more efficient as time goes on.

A Financial background made me look at portfolios and how efficient they could become for each person. Built for each goal, a portfolio of securities has a lot of variables that can be measured. Why couldn't I do the same with a Campfolio? After a few nights at the bottom of the Grand Canyon the idea just wouldn't go away. This is the beginning of Campfolio
